The UK’s Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), in conjunction with the Oil & Gas PM Steering Group and backed by OGUK and the Oil & Gas Authority, has developed and made available for free at source a Project Collaboration Toolkit to guide investor and contractor teams through the process of implementing a project with collaboration at its core.

The ECITB Project Collaboration Toolkit is now at Edition 2 and sets out best practice in accordance with ISO 44001, for companies and their projects irrespective of industry sector.

Kingsfield Academy is currently the only ECITB Approved Delivery Partner to provide support in the implementation of the PCT – based on over 20 years’ experience in providing project critical training and coaching of project teams and over 35 years consulting.

The PCT can be implemented at any point in your project’s lifecycle – and the toolkit is just that, a menu of options that you might like to use to facilitate or improve collaborative working across your team and key members of your supply chain.

Learning aims

Like any intervention, it’s going to be most effective the earlier it is adopted.

Our support will adapt entirely to your needs—from advising on collaborative contracting, supporting the implementation of collaborative work practice, coaching collaboration champions and project managers, developing collaboration & leadership skills, or helping teams work through conflict. Depending on development needs, this training can be combined with “Understanding Collaborative Contracting” and/or “Implementing the Collaborative Working Agreement (CWA)” to provide a good grounding for the implementation of collaborative project practice in owner or integrated project teams.
