Commercial Leadership

Commercial Leadership is an intermediate level program that centres on project management competencies needed to take ownership of and be accountable for the commercial results of a project.

Sessions include

Recognising and responding to project events
Such as changes & claims, delays, cost overruns, supply chain performance, disputes, and more.

Understanding how the environment and market forces influence project events
Such as fluctuating energy prices, mergers & acquisitions, new clients, new competition, new technology, and more.

Identifying and applying the PM skills required for the context
Such as personal mindset, leadership, team management, collaboration, stakeholder management, and more.

Put into practice what this typically means. For the contractor, it is profitability and meeting project margins, whereas, for the investor/owner, it means ensuring capital efficiency and value for money. Delivered over a 5-6 week period, this blended learning program uses a combination of self-directed elearning, “live” virtual workshops, and a group collaboration assignment to achieve the learning aims.

  Exploring collaborative work and procurement practices as new and emerging industry project trends for their impact on contracting and project delivery practice.

  Recognising the importance of quality relationships with clients, partners, supply chain members as the foundation for commercially successful outcomes.
