Description
This blended course provides essential training on strategies, skills and tactics to achieve win-win outcomes in project and general business negotiation contexts. It is delivered by women for women, in addition to important negotiation principles, addressing the special challenges that are often encountered by women, such as impostor syndrome or how to effectively claim one’s power. Efforts will be taken by the trainers to create a safe environment where exchange, exploration and practice can openly take place. The workshop sessions are highly participative and interactive, following a self-managed elearning course that conveys foundation knowledge

This blended program adopts a flipped classroom approach whereby participants initially complete our Negotiation Essentials elearning course, which, adopts many of Harvard Law School’s ‘Program on Negotiation’ (PON) principles that are part of our negotiation toolkit. It also features important models of influencing and communication. The elearning is mandatory preparation for the virtual “live” sessions where participants will deepen their understanding of PON and related negotiation concepts before considering how to turn them into tactics and strategies, and applying them to the respective phases in a project negotiation. Simulation, role-play and based on real life project and business scenarios allow participants to practise negotiations in a safe environment and receive feedback from industry expert trainers on their application of principles and strategy as well as their influencing/behavioural skills.

Who is this for?
The Negotiation Skills and Strategies course is ideally suited for any women engaged on a regular basis in project or business negotiations. Project functions could include project, portfolio and contract management, procurement, sales or legal.
In-house training courses can be customised to suit the need of the training cohort - whether at introductory or advanced levels. A follow-up and embedding period is optional, which involves support for personal action plans and may include individual or team coaching.
On completion
A Kingsfield certificate will be issued on successful completion of this course.
